The great folks at “Our Place” (www.comproom.co.uk/ourplace) , a UK podcast that boasts the motto, “Where anything can happen and probably will” is celebrating its 150th episode this weekend. Our Place is part tech review, part music festival, part commentary and this week, generously, they host my new horror short, “Organic Tomatoes: A Blue Ribbon Murder”. It’s a big honor to be asked to participate in an anniversary show. I hope Organic Tomatoes delivers on such an auspicious occasion.
Organic Tomatoes is the story of three eighty-something women who have long endured the demands, annoyances and even abuse of their long time husbands. In the winter of their lives, they discover murder to be a viable ray of sunshine. Turning their blues into blue ribbons, the three women bury their husbands and reap their rewards in a flourishing vegetable garden. Follow Marie, Abigail and Betty as they discover their own personal women’s liberation in this horror short.
